Butterfly Book - XXL Dot painting

Butterfly Book dot painting XXL, pages turning into wings

An open book with butterflies rising off the paper, the two shapes blurring into each other. It is a favorite among readers, and the transition from page to wing is the part worth taking your time over.

Page to wing, with only markers and printed circles. Dot painting gives readers a quiet, clean hobby that needs no sketching.

What is in the dot painting kit

Everything you need comes in one box:

• Printed canvas: robust, with pages and wings clearly separated.
• Guide: one page of instruction.
• Double-tip markers:
  • 1.0 mm tip: for the covers and the broad wings.
  • 0.5 mm tip: for the page edges and the antennae.

A gift for someone who reads

Hard to buy for, easy to please with this. Finished and framed it sits well above a reading chair or a full bookshelf.

Even a few pages each day is enough, or hand the butterflies to a friend while you work the open book. A dot art painting kit with everything included.

Paper becoming wing

Start dense at the spine and let the dots thin out toward the flying butterflies. The gradual fade is what makes the illusion work, and it costs nothing but patience.

As the pages turn into wings, layered dots make them seem to lift off. Book lovers will want it beside their shelves.
