Butterfly With Bug Rose dot painting, a study in small things

A butterfly resting on a rose with a beetle working its way along the stem. Everything is close up and finely drawn, which suits anyone who enjoys the slow, detailed end of the hobby.

Fine detail looks tricky but proves gentle in dot painting, since every dot lands in a printed circle and the desk stays spotless.

What is in the dot painting kit

Everything you need comes in one box:

      • Printed canvas: solid, keeping fine detail crisp.
      • Guide: tips for keeping small dots even.
      • Double-tip markers:
        • 1.0 mm tip: for the rose petals and the wings.
        • 0.5 mm tip: for the beetle, thorns and veins.

Gentle work for a short evening

Fine detail rewards half an hour at a time rather than a marathon. Finish one petal properly, then stop while it still feels good.

Fine detail calls for slow breathing and steady focus, so this is a quiet retreat from every glowing screen. A dot art painting kit with everything included.

Dotting the Butterfly With Bug Rose dot painting

      Three subjects, three densities

Keep the rose soft and the wings light, and pack the beetle almost solid. Setting those three against each other gives such a small scene its depth.

Every wing and thorn stands out in precise detail, a piece worth framing and showing to guests.
