Skull With Flowers dot painting, bone and blossom

A skull with flowers growing through and around it. Hard bone against soft petals is one of art's oldest pairings, and it suits this technique perfectly.

No brushes and no waiting for anything to dry: dot painting means markers and a free table, and nothing else.

What is in the dot painting kit

Everything you need comes in one box:

      • Printed canvas: sturdy, with rich detail.
      • Guide: one page to read before you start.
      • Double-tip markers:
        • 1.0 mm tip: for the bone and the open petals.
        • 0.5 mm tip: for the sockets, the teeth and the stems.

      A project for many evenings

Plenty of canvas and two contrasting textures keep the work from ever getting monotonous.

Spend an unhurried hour over coffee, or invite an older child to take the stems. Time passes easily when two people share a project. A dot art painting kit with everything included.

Dotting the Skull With Flowers dot painting

      Smooth bone, wild petals

Bone calls for even, controlled dotting while flowers call for the opposite. Keeping the two rhythms apart is the whole exercise.

Hard bone and soft petals each get their own density, giving the skull volume. Hang it where it can make a statement.
