Beach Cottage - Dot painting

A wooden cottage with the grass bending around it and the sea just out of frame. Dotting it is a slow way to spend an evening somewhere else, and the weathered boards give you plenty of texture to work with.

There is no paint, no mess, and no drying time involved. You simply use the special markers to follow the template and create a masterpiece.

What arrives

Complete in one delivery:

• Printed canvas: sturdy, with the cottage clearly drawn.
• Short guide: enough to begin straight away.
• Markers with a wide and a fine end:
  • 1.0 mm side: for the walls, the roof and the dunes.
  • 0.5 mm side: for the window frames and the blades of grass.

No brushes, no water, no clearing up

The canvas comes out, the marker comes off, and the table stays clean. Twenty minutes is a worthwhile sitting and nothing has to be rinsed afterwards.

This is a great project for long winter evenings and rainy weekends. Enjoy it together with your partner or use it to get off your screens at night.

Weathered planks are uneven by nature, so a slightly irregular row of dots reads as exactly right. It is one of the few subjects where being imprecise improves the result.

Seeing the texture emerge dot by dot is incredibly rewarding. Collect a series for one wall, or surprise a loved one with a gift you made yourself.
