Monarch Butterfly Flowers - Panorama Dot painting

Monarch Butterfly Flowers panorama dot painting, wings spread wide

A monarch butterfly rests with its wings fully open on a dense bed of daisies, cosmos and small clustered blooms. The wide format gives the wingspan room, with flowers filling every corner around it.

The veined wing panels and the speckled wing edges are already printed as circles. You fill them in with markers, one dot at a time, without any paint.

What is in the dot painting kit

Everything you need comes in one box:

• Printed canvas: sturdy, with every wing vein and petal clearly drawn.
• Guide: one page that shows you where to begin.
• Double-tip markers:
  • 1.0 mm tip: for the broad wing panels and the large petals.
  • 0.5 mm tip: for the speckled wing edges and the flower centers.

For a slow afternoon at the table

A design for anyone who likes butterflies and garden flowers, and who enjoys watching a detailed picture fill in bit by bit.

Start with the butterfly and work outwards flower by flower. Each bloom is a small finished piece of its own, so stopping halfway never feels untidy.

Keep the wing veins open

Dot each wing panel up to the vein line, but leave the vein itself clear. That thin gap is what makes the wings read as a monarch from a distance.

On the wall the butterfly stands out first, then the flowers appear around it. Up close the picture turns into thousands of neat dots.
