A thick old book lies open at the bottom, and a cloud of butterflies rises from its pages into a dark sky. The panorama width lets the swarm fan out to both sides, far beyond the edges of the book.

Dozens of butterflies in all sizes are printed as circle patterns, ready for your markers. Dot by dot the swarm lifts off the page, with no paint or water involved.

The butterflies are separate little shapes, so you can finish a handful per sitting. Two people can easily work on opposite ends of the swarm at once.

Work from the book upwards

Finish the fanned pages first, following their long curved lines. Then dot the butterflies closest to the book and move up, so the swarm seems to grow as you go.

From across the room you see a book bursting open with wings. The stacked page edges give the lower half a calm base under all that movement.
